The CMA hold an annual 'Communications in Business' market study which gives a clear insight into the communications industry and yearly trends. It is the single most authoritative account of customer opinions in the market and as such is an invaluable resource for suppliers.

The CMA's most recent 'Communications in Business' 2006 study consulted a total of 354 senior communications professionals, who gave views on their business goals and the image and profile of the main suppliers. The report covered valuable data on converged IP networks, billing, broadband, future spending and business strategy and plans.

On convergence, two thirds said VoIP was the strongest reason behind using converged networks and a further 91 per cent said their spending on IP services would either increase again or stay the same in the next 12 months.
