Types of communication

Voice tone, words and body language constitute the major communication types. It is said that body language constitute major portion of a communication process. Communication among human being is in the form of spoken or written. A set of symbols are used along with some rules of grammar in spoken and written language. Non-verbal communication is another type of communication wherein messages are sent or received without the use of words. Non-verbal elements of communication can also be used while speaking which includes emotions, the tone of the voice and quality of voice.

Visual communication is a process by which visual aid is used while communicating. Ideas are conveyed in the form of readable object. Visual forms of communication include illustration, graphic design, drawings, typography and signs and there is a complete reliance on vision. Visual messages have a higher power of informing, educating or persuading a person.
